The tactical specialty addressing how brands surface in synthesised AI outputs — the recommendations and explanations generated by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and similar systems. Tactics include citation-friendly content engineering, structured data for generative consumption, and source-material authoring engineered for inclusion in AI training corpora. Difference from AVO: tactical, single-surface. AVO contains GEO as one component of Stage 3 of the Digital Authority Funnel.
