AVO (Authority and Visibility Optimization)
The discipline of measuring and engineering brand authority and visibility for AI-mediated brand discovery. AVO comprises three components: a conceptual framework that defines what brand discovery means when discovery surfaces are synthesized rather than listed; the OMG Protocol as its methodology; and the paired AS-VS measurement model. AVO is the umbrella discipline above the tactical layer of GEO, AEO, and AIO, and the AI-era counterpart to existing authority measurement traditions including PageRank, Domain Authority, E-E-A-T, and brand authority. The discipline is loop-first, multilingual-first, and portfolio-scale.
